cotton is a prop to maryland spca. cotton has just had surgery, so we have a nice collar on. we thought we'd talk for a minute or two about what to do when your pet comes home after surgery, okay? it is important to remember animals that have had surgery have gone through a fairly traumatic period of time ask they need time to acclimate back home. don't give food or water for about an hour, let them run around the house and get used to the environment again. you want to give him a small amount of water, and wait an hour or so and then some food. in addition you want to him their activity if they have had minor surgery, you usually have to keep your animal question for a day or two. if they have had major surgery, like cotton, keep them quiet for seven to 14 days. we put a collar on and when cotton tries to lick, he won't be able to do anything. >>> he is very, very saturday. he is a nice dog. we have brenda from brooklyn park on the phone. she has a 12-year-old jack russell terrier dog, what is the problem? >> i can't get rid of the worms with him. he eats grass, and i can't
